9.30 AME members, AME Secretariat (Schuman Associates) Introduction and welcome, preparation for meetings with EU officials

Mr. Paolo Costanzo and Ms. Agnete Philipson, European Commission, DG Internal Market

CONFIRMED
Mr. Costanzo and Ms. Philipson are two of the key officials working on EU AML issues in the Commission’s Internal Market DG. They will focus in particular on the recent Commission papers on the impact of the 2nd MLD on lawyers and on non face-to-face transactions and on the implementation of the 3rd MLD, including third country equivalence

Ms Catriona Shaw, Association of Private Clients, Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS)

Ms. Shaw is Head of EU affairs in APCIMS. She will do a short presentation introducing APCIMS as a new AME Member, its work generally and specific interest in AML issues.
 

Mr. Andrew Glover, International Compliance Association (ICA)

CONFIRMED
Mr Glover is the UK AML and Financial Crime Course Director for ICA. He will do a short presentation introducing the ICA as a new AME Member, its work generally and specific interest in AML issues.

Ms. Dora Balazs, European Commission, DG Justice, Freedom and Security

CONFIRMED
Ms. Balazs is a key member of the anti-financial crime team in the Commission’s DG on Justice, Freedom and Security. She will discuss current initiatives on EU AML in her DG, including the recent launch of a study on the transparency of legal entities and outreach to the private sector

Mr. Yvan De Mesmaeker, Secretary General, European Corporate Security Association

Presentation by Mr. De Mesmaeker and discussion with AME members on the work of ECSA and possible cooperation with AME

Ms. Wilhelmina De Ruiter, EU Council of Minsters

CONFIRMED
Ms. De Ruiter  is works in the Council Directorate responsible for judicial cooperation. She is a seconded national expert from the Dutch Ministry of Justice. She will discuss the work of the Council generally in fighting financial crime, interaction with the other institutions, current issues.

Mr. Joseph Delhaye, European Savings Banks Group (ESBG)

CONFIRMED
Mr Delhaye chairs the Financial Regulation Committee of the ESBG and the Legal Committee of the Luxembourg Banking Association. He currently represents ESBG at the level of a joint public-private working group managed by the FATF and will discuss the ESBG’s focus and work on AML.
