Mr. Albert Straver and Mrs. Alyson King, European Commission, DG External Relations

CONFIRMED
Mr. Straver is head of the section dealing with financial sanctions in the European Commission’s Directorate General for External Relations (DG RELEX). Mrs. King is task manager in the same unit dealing with financial sanctions. Mr. Straver and Mrs. King will give a brief overview of their current work, followed by an exchange with AME members on cooperation with the private sector.

Ms. Anciberro is the principal officer in the EBF responsible for financial crime. She will do a briefing on key interests and issues in EU financial crime for the EBF

Mr. Mauro Falesiedi, EUROPOL

Mr. Falsiedi is First Officer responsible for financial crime and co-ordination for anti-money laundering matters in EUROPOL. He will provide an update on EUROPOL’s work on financial crime, with a particular focus on any initiatives impacting the private sector

John-Paul Dryden
European Parliament Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON) Secretariat

CONFIRMED
Mr. Dryden is an European Parliament official working in the Secretariat of Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON). Mr. Dryden will discuss current EU financial crime initiatives in the European Parliament, notably the Wire Transfers Regulation. He will also review the specific competencies of ECON in EU financial crime matters.
